Be creative in your placement!
It seems like manufacturers love to stymie embroiderers. From placing zippers at the perfect embroidery spot or making pockets too awkward for the hoop, sometimes we have to be creative with our placement. Here's a perfect example.
The customer wanted it above the giraffe's head, but there was a velcro closure on the back. Then she suggested on the side of the giraffe, but the hoop wouldn't work with the pocket. Finally, she suggested putting it on the busy triangle pattern above the pocket, but then the name wouldn't pop; it would get lost with all the colors.
So I took the name and curved it around the giraffe's head. Perfect placement, perfect color, and perfect addition to the bag. Sometimes, the straight and narrow just won't do!
